Built on an isolated boulder in the sea, Pura Tanah Lot is the most famous and most visited temple in Bali. The best time to go and visit the temple is in the late afternoon, at sunset.

Unfortunately, you won’t escape the touristic frenzy all around the temple or the many shops and stands on your way down the temple. However, the beauty of the site makes it a place not be missed.

After dark, the temple looks like a Chinese pagoda and the place takes on a mystical atmosphere.
